History
Senshu University Press was established in 1974 as one department in the Sendai-Century Co.,Ltd. which is another corporate body which manages various profit businesses of the Senshu University.
The number of our publications so far reaches 200 titles promptly.
We presently publishe about 18 new titles and 14 journals annually.

Our organization was established as the Publishing Department of Taisho University in 1928, and was renamed into Taisho University Press (TUP) in 2001. The spirit of Buddhism is the spirit on which Taisho University was founded. Taisho University Press has been doing publishing activities mainly on Buddhology, Religious Studies, Social Welfare, Japanese Literature, and Historical Culture.

History
Tamagawa University Press got its start in 1929 when Tamagawa Gakuen was founded, with ""Idea Shoin"" founded in 1923 as its predecessor. It has published works for readers across a broad array of age groups, from children's books to university texts and technical books.
Tamagawa University Press is the only university press in Japan that has published numerous books related to elementary education, including books on children's plays and song books. The University Press has published primarily books for children and higher education, reflecting the pride it has in its tradition of many years of publication related to education practice and theory, in addition to editing eight types of encyclopedia, including the ""Children's Encyclopedia"" (30 volumes), which was Japan's first encyclopedia for elementary school children, and the ""Tamagawa Encyclopedia"" (31 volumes) for adults. In addition to these publications, the University Press has also published books for the general public and has edited ""Zenjin"" (monthly), a periodical of Tamagawa Gakuen featuring interviews and reports on educational practices at Tamagawa Gakuen and University.

History
Chuo University was established in 1885 as Igirisu Houritu Gakko (English Law School). In the early year, Chuo University published reimpression correspondence courses of British and American law book. Over the years, judgment record of Supreme Court and Administrative Litigation Court, and other publications were included. During the World War , publications was stopped completely.
In 1948, Chuo University Press was founded. Focus was on various journals on results of research announcement of the University. We aim at substantiality at the publication of the University. Now Chuo University Press about 40 journals and 30-40 books every year.

History
University of Tokyo Press was established in 1951. Titles published in Japanese reflect the research carried out at the university in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences.
Continuing series are published in biology, earth sciences, sociology, economics, philosophy, and Japanese art and historical studies. Special projects include publication of textbooks and reprinting of historical source materials.
English-language publishing began in 1960; special strengths include Japanese and Asian studies (including art, history, economics, law, and sociology). English-language publications also include translations of historical and important literary works and diaries.
